Heather Plunkett, Producer
Heather brings a unique perspective to Sheridan Insurance Group. Prior to working in insurance, she was a physician recruiter specializing in Locum Tenens staffing. It was her job to build relationships with the physicians; taking into consideration their specific set of circumstances and needs. It was never about just making a placement, but, ensuring it was a good fit for both the physician and the facility. Working in insurance is much the same thing. Anyone can sell insurance; but not everyone understands the specific set of circumstances for each client. Partnering with someone who understands the industry from all sides, is a benefit few agencies can offer. In addition to working in the Locum Tenens world, she also partnered with physician groups and private practice across many specialties to find the right fit for Allied Health professionals. In all of these situations, the malpractice insurance was of the utmost importance for both the provider and the business. This made the transition to medical malpractice insurance a very natural fit.
When she isn’t talking shop with clients and potential clients, she’s a mother to five kids…yes, you read that correctly, FIVE KIDS. Oldest is in college, youngest is in elementary school, so, there isn’t a situation she can’t overcome. Thankfully, she doesn’t do this alone, her husband of nearly 20 years is right beside her helping to manage the team! She says having a sense of humor is the most important thing in life: you have to laugh and have fun, whether at work or play. She enjoys meeting new people and derives genuine satisfaction from helping others.
